Mr. Brown is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mary Ann Maples Brown, two sons Stephen Lewis Brown (Mary) and Kevin Wayne Brown (Kathy), four grandchildren, Heather Marie Wyatt (John), Nathan Lewis Brown, Travis Wayne Brown and Reece Evan Brown, and three great grandchildren Ruby Kate Wyatt, John Wayne Wyatt and John Maverick Wyatt.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Lewis Brown and mother Louise Land Brown.
Mr. Brown served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Wisconsin during the Korean War. He worked in various capacities in civil service for the U.S. Army for 39 years. Without formal training he had an uncanny ability to figure out how things worked and fix them with only the barest essentials of tools. He had an amazing wit and never met a stranger. He had the ability to light up a room of shy people and make them feel like family. He enjoyed his family, travelling and meeting new people. He loved his pets, and his most recent dog, Stella, was his companion and protector. No doubt, he has been welcomed into the gates of heaven with joy and laughter.
