Mrs. Bazzel was born in Jefferson County, Alabama to John Hopkins Leatherwood and Alma Graham Leatherwood. She is retired from Aramark Uniform Services and is a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church. Mrs. Bazzel loved her family, Elvis and Alabama football. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Alma Leatherwood; husband, William Wade Bazzel and sisters, Betty Downes and Beatrice Pakula.
Mrs. Bazzel is survived by her children, Pam Keenum (David) and Karen Schafer (Randy); grandchildren, Brandy Stephens (Matt), Nicole Osborne (Michael Pepper), Wade Schafer, Lauren Schafer and Josh Schafer and great-grandchildren, Colter Moore, Ava Stephens and Natalie Stephens; sisters, Patricia Jacobs and Martha Graham (Jimmy) and brother, Michael Leatherwood (Paula).
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 11:00am at Roselawn Cemetery with a time of visitation from 10:00am until 10:45am at Roselawn Funeral Home. Zeke Haselden will be officiating the service.
