in Decatur, AL. He was born April 6, 1954, in Decatur, Alabama to the late Leonard Hudson and
Joyce Hudson. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 18, 2024 from 1-3 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home.
Buzz attended Decatur High School and went to college at Auburn University. He always
had a love for the outdoors, things like fishing and going out on the river were his favorite things
to do. He had a deep love for everyone that came into his life, especially his family. He always
welcomed anyone with open arms and always had a way to make people laugh.
He was married to the love of his life Theresa Dianne Hudson, and they were blessed
with two sons. Theresa was his whole world, and their love was something that everyone that
knew them admired. Theresa preceded him in death on March 14, 2018.
Buzz Hudson was an avid lover of anything Auburn and continued that love into his
children and grandchildren. He had a beautiful life teaching his grandchildren in all things
outdoors and loved getting to spend most of his life out on the refuge. He was a generous spirit
and had an amazing personality, which made him loved by many. His influence and knowledge
will remain forever in the lives of all who knew him.
His beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his children, grandchildren, and
family: he was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Theresa Hudson. Survivors include
sister Janice Barbin (Randy) of Danville AL, sons Linn Standridge (Stacey) of Madisonville, LA
and Brandon Hudson (Jennifer) of Decatur, AL. Beloved Granddaughters, Amelia Standridge,
Alexa Hudson, and Ava Hudson and special grandcousins Linley Higginbotham and Banks
