Humbert, Vernon J., age 73, of Beavercreek passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Soin Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence "Buck" and Mary Jane (Sherman) Humbert and a sister, Linda Kay Humbert. Vernon is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Debbie (Keller) Humbert; his loving daughter, Cindy Humbert and his special granddaughter, Allison Londean. He is also survived by two sisters, Janice Etnyre, Sharon (John) Baker; three brothers, Dick Humbert, Bill (Liveta) Humbert, Terry (Monica) Humbert. Multiple nieces and nephews survive him, whom he considered very dear to his heart. He was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church and was a retired union floor layer. Vernon proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy , was an avid fisherman and a member of the Fisherman Hall of Fame. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 9, 2014, from St. Helen Catholic Church, 5100 Burkhardt Road, Riverside, OH with Fr. Satish Joseph , Celebrant. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the mass on Tuesday. Private interment will be in Dayton National Cemetery.
