I met Rosie in 1974 @ SRL, soon we formed a Softball team with JoAnne as Pitcher, Carol as Catcher,  and 3rd Base was covered by Rosie...we were a 3-some for sure. We sold raffle tickets to pay for uniforms, what could we sell to get Top Dollar for uniforms ----- Rosie suggested raffling LIQUOR ---- that was brilliant and soon we were sporting new orange uniforms!!! Parties really got going upon Rosie's arrival, then she let the jokes flow freely. Not many people can claim to have held onto the same friends for 50 years, thanks for the laughs and tears Rosie --- till we met again.

I have know Rosie since the late 60's.  Of course, I am only one of the thousands of people she knew.  Rosie was an unforgettable loving happy person for those of you that knew her. You knew that she would make a room full of people laugh and for those of you that didn’t. I feel sorry for you. She was the most generous happy loving person I’ve ever known in my life, she volunteered her time at Dayton Art Institute for 15 years and all the days that she was there the whole lower half of the building was in laughter. It was always obvious she was in the building. The days she didn't work were quiet and boring.  No matter what she was asked to do. She did it smiling and joking. She loved to help people. If someone needed something she was the first one there to give it to them. No one had to ask. All she had to do was find out that they needed it and she gave it to them. She spent her younger years  helping her mother take care of her younger sisters and brothers. 
And then she managed to get Marvin through college and helped him get his businesses started he would never  have been able to accomplish what he did without her. We will miss her terribly.
  This summer she got the courage to get into a floating chair in the swimming pool. Two days before she passed she was in the  pool pretending like she was swimming not feeling pain just feeling happiness. It’s so wonderful that she had a couple of fun days before her last.
Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She felt so fortunate to be blessed with beautiful, smart and respectful grandchildren. 
She was a  Best Friend to so many and we will all miss her terribly. God will be glad to have her with her cute little jokes and the ability  to make everyone laugh. Unfortunately, it’ll be noisy in heaven but quiet here on earth without her. We love you, Rosie, Rest in Peace.

I have never known anyone who could smile and fight through hardships like our Rosie.  She gave Parkinson's a real run for it's money and a fight every day.  This lady was determined not to miss a minute of fun, adventure and friendship.  Rosie loved life and is an example to all of us.  If there was a party, music, laughter, fun, well, she wanted to be there no matter how hard it was on her to do it.  The best friend you could ever want - everyone's.  You never went anywhere with her that there wasn't someone she knew; someone who was so happy to see her.  She loved jokes, both hearing them and telling them, UD basketball, swimming together with her friends, and sometimes winning a little bet.  She has been just like the Energizer Bunny, and just as sweet.  A bright light and a blessing in our lives.  I'm sure she is in Heaven with her beloved family, and I hope God is ready for a party!
