It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald Wayne McNeely on November 21, 2024. Born into a loving family, Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Robert (Bob) McNeely and Alma McNeely; his beloved wife, Iona (Onie) McNeely, who preceded him by 6 days, his son, Michael Wayne (Mike) McNeely; and his brother, Jim McNeely.
Ronald is survived by his devoted son, Robert Scott (Susan) McNeely; his caring sister, Sandra Diane (Larry) Key; and his brother, David (Karen) McNeely. He leaves behind a legacy cherished by his four grandchildren: Nick (Angie) McNeely, Zack (Ondrea) McNeely, Alissa McNeely (Bryan Peck), and Tyler McNeely. Ronald was also a proud great-grandfather to five great-grandchildren and will be fondly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends.
A dedicated worker, Ronald spent 30 fruitful years with Chrysler Airtemp. His community spirit shone brightly through his involvement as a master mason and past master at the Lakeview, Ohio Lodge. He was a respected member of the Scottish Rite and York Rite, and since 2003, a dedicated member of the Moose Lodge 1533 in Lakeview.
Ronald was a man of many interests and hobbies. He found joy in fishing, gardening, and spending quality time with his family. Known for his love of mowing and engaging in conversation with everyone he met, Ronald's warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Ronald Wayne McNeely will be dearly missed, but his legacy of love, laughter, and community will continue to inspire those he leaves behind. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at the Tobias Funeral Home – Beavercreek Chapel with interment to follow at Bellbrook Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, December 6 from 5 pm – 8 pm.
