Roger Scott, of Jamestown, a beloved family man, talented tradesman, and generous spirit, passed away on December 10, 2024, at the age of 76. Roger was born on September 06, 1948, in Shelbyville, Indiana to the late Robert Scott and Bessie (nee: Smith) Hubbard. Alongside his parents Roger is preceded in death by; Stepfather; Dwight Hubbard, Children; Dawn (nee: Scott) Dick and Sister; Judy (nee: Scott) VanWinkle.
Roger is survived by his loving wife; Sandra (Christman) Scott, Children; Randy (Raquel) Scott, Monica (nee: Scott) (Steve) Hudgins, Eddie (Holly) Jones, Cindy (nee: Jones) (Erich) Ackley, Son-in-Law; Kevin Dick, Grandchildren; Randy (Laura) Scott, R. Logan Scott, Allison (nee: Scott) (Abraham) Williams, Ashliegh (nee: Dick) (Alexander) Hathaway, Austin Alcorn, Shelby Scott, Kevin Dick, H. Cole Scott, Raelynn Hudgins. Colton Hudgins, Reese Scott, Jersey Scott, Kane Scott, Preston Scott, Emma Scott, Tanner Ackley, Casey Jones, Great Grandchildren; Rosie Scott, Kavial Dozier, RyLynn Scott, Charlee Scott, Chrystian Hoover, Luca Hathaway, Ryder Hathaway, Atlas Williams, Brothers; Robert (Wanda) Scott, Paul (Donna) Scott, Richard (Renee) Scott, and many nieces and nephews.
Throughout his life, Roger lived a life of dedication and service. As a truck driver, contractor, and electrician, he was known for his remarkable ability to repair, build, and create. From solving intricate electrical challenges to building and remodeling homes and working on semis and trucks, Roger approached each task with unmatched skill and determination. His readiness to lend his talents to anyone in need left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Beyond his work, Roger found tranquility and joy on the water, where boating became one of his favorite pastimes. His greatest happiness, however, came from being surrounded by family. He treasured big gatherings with his wife, brothers, children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends, creating memories filled with love and laughter.
Roger’s legacy is one of love, generosity, and hard work. His warm spirit and infectious laughter will be profoundly missed by his family, friends, and all who were blessed to share in his journey.
A visitation will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024, from 5:00-8:00pm at Tobias Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 11:00am at Tobias Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel. A burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery.
