Robert Earnest Adams

Robert Earnest Adams was born in on September 4, 1926, and passed peacefully on November 5, 2023. He was preceded in death by Grace Adams, his wife of 64 years; his parents, Albert Adams and Hazel Adams (Dickenson); son: James Adams, brother: Richard and sisters: Bertha, Mary, and Mildred. He is survived by sister: Betty Zubovic, daughter Becky (George) Daulton; daughter-in-law Brenda Adams; five grandchildren: Jeff Daulton, Katie (Rob) Clark, David (Allison) Daulton, Paul (Laura) Daulton and Rachel (Brandon) Grayson; and 9 great-grandchildren.

The family moved from Peru, IN to Columbus, OH in 1937, and Bob moved to Centerville, OH in 2014, to be close to his daughter. The family would like to thank the staff at The Fairmont of Washington Twp. where he lived the past 5 years and to the excellent staff at Day City Hospice who cared for him this past year.

Bob graduated from Columbus South High School in 1944, spent 11 years in the Air Force and raised his family on Hanford St. in Columbus. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a Life Member of the VFW. He retired from the C&O Railroad in 1988. Bob & Grace skied in 8 states, Canada & Austria. They travelled across the USA and around the world, taking many trips with the Pickerington Senior Center. They were also very active in the Columbus square dancing and contra dancing communities and cherished all those friendships.

Committal Services 10 am Friday November 24 at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
