Richard L Morris., age 90 of Beavercreek, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Hospice of Dayton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris in October of 2015. He is survived by his children: Glenn (Wilma) Morris, Patricia Brown, Robert (Robert Kreitzer) Morris, grandchildren Heidi Schwartz, Gretchen (Randy) Beam, Clinton (Erin) Morris, Allyson (Parks) Masters and William Morris, and a great-grandson, Carter Beam. A 1944 graduate of Parker High School, Richard joined the US Army Air Corps and served his country as an aircraft engineer in the 5th Air Force, 10th Air Service Squadron, at Kimpo Air Base in Seoul, South Korea. Upon returning home, he became an apprentice toolmaker at Frigidaire. He married Doris Webber on November 18, 1948 and continued his work in the tool shop; he retired from Harrison radiator following a 35 year career in management. Richard was a member of Kirkmont Church, VFW Post 8312 and the Optimist Club, as well as an avid car enthusiast and golfer. He also loved boating and bowled on many leagues throughout the years. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Monday, October 17, 2016 at Kirkmont Presbyterian Church, 3377 Shakertown Rd. Beavercreek, with interment to follow in Mt. Zion Park Cemetery. Pastor Dan Borgelt will officiate. The family will receive friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME - BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. from 3 pm - 5 pm on Sunday, October 16, 2016.
