Regina Marie Purcell

PURCELL, REGINA “GINA” MARIE, entered into the arms of Jesus on May 31, 2023. She was born on February 6, 1956 in Danville, Kentucky to Jim and Johnnie Purcell. She grew up in Dayton, Ohio, graduating from Dayton Christian School in 1974. Gina worked at various financial institutions around the Dayton area, the last of which was as Branch Manager at the former Triangle Credit Union.

Gina was a caring and loving daughter, mother of three and grandmother of seven. She was an adventurous spirit who carved her own path in life. A true woman of character, she strived to make others feel welcome and cared for. Gina loved animals and nature, especially the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, morning coffee chats, taking the long way home and treasuring her family more than anything.

Gina leaves behind her mother, Johnnie Purcell, brother Danny Purcell, children Josh (Lisa) Evers, Lauren Combs and Daniel (Christina) Combs; Grandchildren Dakota, Kevin, Grant, Michael, Hunter, Maverick and Max; her uncle, Tom, Nephew Aaron Daniel, numerous cousins, special friend Fred Combs and her “pups” Roman and Duke. She is preceded in death by her father Jim Purcell, aunts Billy Jean, Carol Jean Judy, and Peggy, and her uncle Billy.

A celebration of Gina’s life will be held at the Cornerstone Baptist Church, 1707 Ohmer Ave. Dayton, Ohio on Saturday July 8, 2023, from 3 to 6pm. A Memorial will be held in Gina’s honor at 2:00 pm on Sunday July 9, 2023 at Brodhead Baptist Church, 360 Silver St., Brodhead, Kentucky 40409
