Peggy Anne Shepherd

Our dear Mom and Grandma Peggy Shepherd, 95, went home to be with the Lord on November 28th, 2022. Family and friends remember Mom most for the way she radiated love to everyone in her midst. She had a witty sense of humor and an affinity to send Hallmark cards and notes to love ones, friends and acquaintances. Her soft smile and gentle manner put people at ease and she was always available for a word of encouragement or a listening ear and a snack.

Born in Rockmart, GA., and raised in Kettering; she graduated from Fairmont High School. Soon after, she married our Dad, Bill. They were married 42 years until his death in 1991.

Widowed at 64, Mom’s family continued to be the benefactor of all her love and life-giving for the past 31 years. She was, also, preceded in death by her parents and step parents: Ottie and Ray Trick, Paul and Beulah Peek, and sister, June Rae Trick.

Mom’s legacy of love spans five generations of survivors: daughters, Gayle Pohlmeyer and Lori Colantone (Dan), grandchildren: Jennifer Rose, Casey Kilbane (Amanda), and Luke Colantone, great grandchildren: Zoe and Maxwell Rose, Taylor, Lucy, Addie, Charlee, and Cole Kilbane.

A visitation will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, December 5th, with service following at 12:00 noon at David’s Cemetery Community Mausoleum, 4600 Mad River Road, Kettering, Ohio, 45429.

A special thanks to the aides and nurses at Stoney Ridge Senior Care for their TLC of Mom the past eighteen months.
