Nancy Jane Townsend

Townsend, Nancy J., went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the age of 62. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Betty Blair. She leaves her husband of 44 years, Randall Townsend; her daughter and son-in-law, Candace and John Nelson and her beloved granddaughter, Chloe Nelson. Nancy leaves her two sisters and brothers-in-law, Norma and Gary Shook, Nina and Gary Townsend; her nieces, Angel Shook, Jenny Hungling and Elizabeth Henderson and her nephews, David Townsend and James Blair. Nancy earned her Master’s degree from Tennessee Temple University and was a teacher for many years. She loved teaching and her students. Nancy was a charter member of Bible Baptist Church, where she ministered in the Sunday school and was the church pianist. Nancy was a devout Christian, who had a sweet and loving spirit. Her sacrificial life will be remembered by all who truly knew her. Nancy will be greatly missed, but her testimony for Christ will live on. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2018, at the Tobias Funeral Home-Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road with Pastor Danny Farley from Houston, TX officiating. Entombment will follow in Valley View Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at the funeral home.
