He was born in Dayton, Ohio on February 23, 1956 to the late Rita Marie and Ramon Orville Young.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Teri Young; siblings, Kenneth (Kathy) Young, and Daniel (Sally Sackett) Young; brother in-laws Alan (Cynthia) Smith, and Douglas (Lori) Smith.
Mark earned his Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Wright State University in 1980. His career included time at Mead Digital Systems, St. Elizabeth Hospital, and Wright Patterson Air Force Base. Mark had a true zeal for life! Always smiling, laughing, and sharing funny stories. He was an avid outdoorsman, camper, and fisherman. He was an accomplished handyman in home improvements and always enjoyed his beloved pets.
Mark was a loving husband, son, and brother. He was a man with a strong faith in God. He attended Neebish Presbyterian Church in Michigan in the summers, and Grace Presbyterian Church in Florida in the winters.
Dr. Einhorn, his dedicated oncologist, said that Mark was a true oncology warrior, fighting his cancer for over 40 years without complaint; always continuing the fight.

Visitation for Mark will be on Friday, April 25, 2025 from 11:00am to 12:00pm, followed by a funeral service at 12:00pm at Tobias Funeral Home in Beavercreek with burial at Valley View Memorial Gardens in Xenia.
