ROBERTS, (Brandenburg) Marcella Mae, passed away December 27, 2012, peacefully surrounded by her family and pastor at Hospice of Dayton after a valiant fight to overcome cancer. She was born February 2, 1926 in Jessamine County, Kentucky. Marcella retired from Third National Bank and National City Bank in Dayton after 35 years of service. She was a faithful member of the Colorado Avenue Baptist Church for over 50 years. Marcella volunteered at Hospice of Dayton for nearly 16 years. At age 70, she began watercolor painting and since that time, she mailed more than a thousand greeting cards bearing her artwork to family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Payton and Hattie Brandenburg, her former husband, E. Owen Roberts, and her son-in-law, Charles (Tony) Humfleet, and her brother-in-law, George Goodlett. She is survived by her daughters, Brenda (Roberts) Humfleet, and Pamela (Roberts) Kaiser (John); her grandsons, Todd Humfleet; Aaron Humfleet (Dawn); and Doug Kaiser (Denise); great grandchildren, Adelyn and Noah Humfleet; Doug, Megan, and Madison Kaiser; Marcella is also survived by her brother, H. Jean Bradenburg; sisters, Hilda Goodlett, Colleen Brandenburg, and Phyllis Brandenburg; nephew, Mike Goodlett; and a niece, Leesa Riley (Lawrence). The family will receive friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave. at Rahn Rd. Sunday, December 30, 2012 from 2 to 4 pm followed by a funeral service at 4 pm officiated by Pastor, Rob Wackerman. Interment 2:30 pm Monday, December 31, 2012 in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens, 4915 Harrodsburg Road, Nicholasville, Kentucky 40356.
