Lisa Marie Moran, age 52, of Dayton, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2023. Lisa was born in Dayton, Ohio, and a graduate of Fairmont High School. Lisa loved working as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service. She is preceded in death by her father Carl "Butch" Stanaford Jr. Lisa is survived by her mother Carol Crawford, sister Heather Stanaford, brother-in-law Keven Goodrich and her loving dog, Laynie.
Lisa was a warrior and a champion. She worked tirelessly for numerous foundations and organizations raising much needed funds for lung cancer research. She received the American Lung Association Lung Force Hero of Hope Award in 2019. Lisa spent countless years working and inspiring others to help those in need. In childhood, she raised funds for UNICEF and the Muscular Dystrophy Association. She continued volunteering her entire life, including her own disease, all the way to the end. Helping people was always important to Lisa. She was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and a member of Pikes Peak Browns Backers.
We thank all her family and friends who loved Lisa and supported her charitable work.
A visitation for Lisa will be held Monday, June 12, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Tobias Funeral Home, 3970 Dayton Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio, followed by a funeral service at 7:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lisa's memory may be made to Lung Cancer Colorado Fund, CU Foundation, Mail Stop A065 13001 E. 17th Place, Aurora, Colorado 80045 US.
