Lawrence Lackey

LACKEY, Lawrence D., age 87 of Beavercreek, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2017. He was born on August 13, 1930 to the late Baxter and Laura Lackey. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Viola Lackey and siblings Terry, Richard, Clyde, Everett, Virginia, Sarah, John and James. He is survived by his children, Michael (Stephani) Lackey and Kim Davis, grandchildren Justin Lackey, Melinda (Justin) Keith, and Molly (Matthew) Milne, great-grandchildren Rylan and Aisley Milne, and Logan Keith, brother Frank Lackey, niece Pat Repenn and numerous other relatives. Lawrence retired from Standard Oil and later worked alongside his wife Viola for Forest City Management Company. He was a United States Army Veteran who served during the Korean War and a charter member of the American Legion #763. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at the Tobias Funeral Home – Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. with interment to follow in Valley View Memorial Gardens.
