Kenneth E. Isham

ISHAM, Kenneth E., age 74 of Huber Heights, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2023. Ken is preceded in death by his parents Kenneth H. and Barbara Jean Isham, and brother David Isham. He is survived by his wife Debbie Isham, children; Jason (Barbara Jean) Isham, Brian (Amanda) Isham, Timothy (Jaimee) Isham, Jimi (Anita) Hendricks, Jared (Tracy) Hendricks, and Deanna (Nathan) Fultz, numerous grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, brother Ron (Sharen) Isham, nephews; Justin (Lisa) Isham, Mark (Loriann) Perazzo and John (Julie) Perazzo, and mother-in-law Jean England.

Ken loved God, his family, watercolor painting, airplanes, the Cleveland Browns, plaid shirts, sweater vests, and Jim’s donuts. Actually all donuts in general. He had a quiet unique laugh that came with a sincere smile.

As a structural engineer, he loved good architecture and loved to laugh at really bad architecture.

As a dad, he taught his sons how to be strong, consistent, and how to laugh during times when it was hard to do so.

As a husband, he selflessly loved his wife. He was faithful and loyal; always putting her needs above his own.

As a Christian, he was faithful to the end. In his living, he taught us from Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians that love “believes all, hopes all things, is not puffed up.” And again in Thessalonians, “Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks.” His life was a demonstration of those things for so many of us.

Through the years, he served in the church as a teacher, elder, and any capacity that he was needed with a willing heart.

Now he has entered his heavenly Father’s house into the arms of Jesus and the many loved ones who he has so greatly missed.

Although we are sad that he has left us, we are so very grateful to God that he was our brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at the Tobias Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. at the funeral home on Thursday, June 8.
