Kathryn Wuanita Bailey

Kathryn Wuanita Bailey, age 89 of Centerville, passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2018. She was born to the late Ralph Sydney Adams and Lenora (Garrison) Adams on October 11, 1928. She was a graduate of Roosevelt High School in Dayton and attended the Ohio State University. She was employed for many years at DESC in Kettering and finished her career at WPAFB, in the Avionics Division. Kathryn is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Charles V. Bailey. They met in 1961 while attending a singles group at Grace (United) Methodist Church where they remain faithful parishioners today. Kathryn is also survived by her two sisters, Janet (Brown) Rogers and Virginia (Adams) Wright, both of Dayton, OH, and sister-in-law Ruth (William) Wyatt. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, loving family members and friends. Preceding Kathryn in death are brothers-in-law, Warren Rogers and Harry D. Wright, as well as beloved niece, Sandra Bailey; sisters-in-law, Catherine Sims and Jo McMillian. Kathryn enjoyed travel, crafts (especially ceramics), as well as her membership in the Ladies Circle of Grace United Methodist Church. She and Charlie were still members of the GSA Alumni (Grace Single Adults) group. A visitation will be held from 9:30AM until 11:30 AM on Friday, March 23, 2018, with funeral services immediately following at Tobias Funeral Home, 5471 Far Hills Avenue, Dayton, OH. Friend and Pastor, Rev. Dr. Sherry Gale of Grace United Methodist Church will be officiating. The burial will be at Woodland Cemetery, Dayton, OH.
