Joyce Ramsey

Ramsey, Joyce, age 87 of Centerville, passed away Thursday, June 16th, 2011 at Bethany Lutheran Village. Born in Stafford, England, she married during World War II and came to the United States in 1946. Joyce was a member of Fairhaven Church and the Women’s Missionary Alliance. She is preceded in death by her husband, William A. Ramsey, daughter Joy Simpson, grandson Douglas Simpson, 4 brothers, Fred, James, Rex, and Reggie Ryder, and 1 sister, Grace Cooney. Joyce is survived by her daughter Jean Nugent of Centerville; 3 grandchildren, William Gregory Simpson and wife Michelle, Christine Lawrence and husband Todd, and Holly Nugent Lennon and husband Scott; 4 Great Grandchildren, Tyler and Olivia Lawrence, Kathleen and William Douglas Simpson. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 20, 2011 at Fairhaven Church 637 E. Whipp Rd., Centerville with Pastors Ted Zabel and Jim Futrell officiating. The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church. Burial will follow in the Fairborn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fairhaven Church in memory of Mrs. Ramsey. Arrangements completed by the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-Far Hills Chapel.
