John is survived by his wife of 32 years Maureen, his son Mark and daughter in law Kelly and his granddaughters Ellie and Maggie. Also surviving are his brother Chris and his sisters Mary Anne (Dave), Joan (Ron) and Mary Jo and numerous nieces and nephews.
John graduated from the University of Dayton and then proudly served 5 years in the United States Army. He spent most of his time in Germany.
After returning to civilian life, John partnered with a small accounting firm and eventually worked for Mutual Tool & Die as a Purchasing Agent. Most recently he worked at Transdev (First Transit) in Xenia, Ohio.
John was a devout Christian who loved, served and worshipped the Lord in everything he did. God gave John the gift of music and he ministered to others by playing the saxophone. It was also a joy for him to pray for others and to witness miracles in many of their lives. John attended The Church Alive in Mason, Ohio.
John’s family will receive friends on Wednesday January 8, 2025 from 10:30am to 12:00 noon at PARKVIEW CHURCH of the NAZARENE, 4701 Far Hills Ave., Dayton, OH. A Celebration of Life will follow at 12:00 with Pastor David Kelly officiating. Graveside services with Military Honors will be at 2:00pm at the Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 W. Third St. Dayton, Ohio.
