Born: August 8, 1925 in Detroit, Michigan, He is preceded in death by his parents: John & Julia Marco and his beloved wife of 68 years, Lillian O. Marco (nee Schultz,).
John served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II and was honorably discharged in November 1945. A former standout football player for Ohio University, John pursued a career in advertising and continued to serve his community as a member of Church of the Incarnation in Centerville, Ohio.
He is survived by his children: David Marco, Timothy (Carol) Marco, Linda (Ronald) James, Nancy (Danny) Kay, Mary (Brian) Grassa, Sandy (Jerry) Couch, 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated September 8, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Church of the Incarnation, 7415 Far Hills Avenue, Centerville, Ohio. Burial will occur at Calvary Cemetery at a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
