John G Hedges

Age 82 of Dayton, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2022. John was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio June 15, 1940 to the late Gilbert and Frances Bright Hedges. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Hedges. He is survived by his brother, Roger (Diane) Hedges; niece, Heather Benson; and nephew, Wade Hedges.

John was a graduate of Belmonte High School in the first graduating class there in 1958 where he was a Merit Scholar and then graduated from the University of Dayton with a science degree. John worked for a short time for the postal service then several years in Missouri and Illinois as a cartographer. He ultimately moved to Jonesboro, Georgia where he worked for the FAA producing flight Charts as the Atlanta office. After about 40 years he retired and returned to the Dayton area. For the past several years his health began to fail. After a short stint in Ohio Hospice of Dayton he passed away.
