Barstow, John "Jack" Alan, age 74 of Bellbrook passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Dorothy Barstow, first wife Rosanne "Rosie" Barstow and a brother Jim Barstow. Survivors include his wife Roselyn "Rose" Barstow; brother Bill Barstow (Connie Jones), sister Liz (Don) Raiff, sister-in-law Chrissy Barstow; children Julie (John) Utley, Karen (Rob) Lambert, stepson Mike (Becca) Stradiot, stepdaughter Melissa (Andy) Baum; grandchildren Emily, Brian, Jillian, Joe, Emma, Quinn, Evelyn, Meg and Claire. Jack was a 1961 graduate of Chaminade High School and a 1965 graduate of the University of Notre Dame. He was a former Standard Register employee and a realtor for REMAX until his retirement. Jack thrived in his role as a volunteer at Carillon Park with a special interest in the Wright Brothers. He also served as Chairman of the Board of the Dayton Police History Foundation. Jack vacationed every summer of his life at the family cottage in Bear Lake, Michigan, where he loved fishing and spending time with family. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 am Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church 4500 Ackerman Blvd. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
