Jerry S Witt

He was preceded in death by his parents Silas Simon and Rose Ellen Witt and brothers Gary, Duane, and Dwight Witt.

He is survived by his 4 children, Jerilyn (Kim) Weber, Dana Witt, Kathleen (John) Tappel, Steven (Beth) Witt, 16 grandchildren,14 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jerry was born in Fargo, North Dakota, and attended High School in Austin, MN. After high school graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served his country for 20 years, retiring in 1968 in Dayton, Ohio. Jerry spent many years overseas in the Air Force including time in Japan, Korea, and England. He considered his time in the military as his best-working-years! After retiring from the Air Force, Jerry also served 20 years with the E.F. Macdonald Company in Dayton, Ohio.

Jerry was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church since 1964.

A private Family Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at St. Helen Church, celebrated by Fr. Satish Joseph. Interment, with Military Funeral Honors, will follow at Dayton National Cemetery, where he will be buried with his beloved wife of 62 years, Mary Kathleen Witt.
