Jean C. Bundy

BUNDY, Jean Colleen [Kolb] age 71, of Beavercreek, was called to the arms of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, on August 10, 2012 at 12:08pm. She slipped peacefully from these earthly bounds and so ended her long and valiant struggle with Sjogrens. Jean was born Jan 28, 1941, in Anaheim, CA to the Reverend Loren and Gladys Kolb. She came to the Dayton area in 1946, when her father was called to shepherd the congregation of the Good Ship Zion on Linden Avenue and on local Dayton television. Jean would sometimes sing and her sister Gwin played piano and organ for the program. Jean loved singing and participating in church activities before the disease took her voice and caused her to be house bound. She met her beloved husband, Patrick K. Bundy while he was stationed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base and they were married in 1962; they had just celebrated 50 yrs of Marriage on July 27th. Jean will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and wife, and a faithful and loyal friend to many. She had a positive outlook on life and a loving affectionate personality. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to others in need. Her children, nieces, nephews and many neighbor children from Illinois, will remember her leading the way in many fun activities. She was creative and loved to devise projects and get togethers for the young people. Her children's friends never minded when Jean went with them on outings, Penny and Keith's mother was "cool" and well liked. She would listen to all the kid's problems and provide helpful advice. Jean is survived by her husband, Patrick Bundy; her daughter Penny Bundy; her son Keith (Lori) Bundy; granddaughter Jennah Bundy (Joshua Strader) and great granddaughters Neveah and Fayth Alice Jean Strader, Sister and brother-in-law Gwen and Jim Toner, many nieces and nephews and her dear sister-friend Judy Chaffin. She will be greatly missed by the many people she touched. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd at Grange Hall; Interment at Mt. Zion Shoup Cemetery.
