J.D. served his country during his drafted time and was honorably discharged. J.D. was the youngest golf pro ever to work in the Dayton area starting his golfing career at Larch Tree in Trotwood. He went on to work at other golf courses and taught private lessons. J.D. started his own successful rust-proofing business in the late 1980’s and was a very successful car salesman.
J.D. was deeply loved by many people and is well known in the Dayton area. Please come to the service and share a story about him with his family. He will be remembered by his family as a resilient, loving, proud, charismatic, unique, spontaneous, faithful, cheerful, comedic man who was full of life and loved his family deeply and was truly lit up by his time with friends. His grandsons will remember their hapaw for his entertaining humor and for always making them laugh.
