Janet M. Hardin

Hardin, Janet M., age 87, of Riverside, passed away peacefully on Monday, April, 4, 2016, at Hospice of Dayton. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on June 15, 1928 to Owen and Esther (Schmidt) Littler, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Ronald Ross, her sister, Marietta and brother-in-law, Bodge Bowles. Janet is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Benjamin G. Hardin; her son, Gary Hardin, her daughter, Gail Ross; a sister, JoAnn Ketzel; 4 grandchildren, Eric, Josh, Tara ,Tyler and 6 great-grandchildren. She was a longtime and active member of Community United Methodist Church, Janet was the First Lady of Antioch Shrine in 1988 and a member of Azizah Temple #57, Daughters of the Nile. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, April 11, 2016, at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road with Pastor Fritz Merkes officiating. Interment will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday.
