Janet A. Boyd

BOYD, Janet A. (Wagner), 93, passed away Monday, April 23, 2012. She was born May 3, 1918, in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of Clarence L. and Mabel A. (Johnson) Wagner. Preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Reed S. Boyd, and daughters, Barbara A. Leslie, and Connie L. Henry, she is survived by daughters, Marilyn R. Judd, Centerville, OH, Sharon L. Milam (Jerry), Springfield, OH, Caryl J. Cope (Larry), Seymour, MO, and sons Thomas A. Boyd, Dayton, OH, and Steven R. Boyd (Spring), Fairborn, OH. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, several step grandchildren, and step great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Janet lived her entire life in Dayton, Ohio, and was a 1936 graduate of Stivers High School. She was a life member of the Stivers Alumni Association. She was employed by Montgomery County for over 20 years, serving in the prosecutor’s office, water department, and property tax office, among others. She was also employed by the Board of Elections, serving in various positions over many years. She was a life member of Dayton Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, and Harmony White Shrine. The family will receive friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave. at Rahn Rd. Thursday, April 26, 2012 from 5 to 8 pm. Funeral service, 1 pm Friday, at the funeral home. The Reverend, Ben Phillips officiating. Interment, Woodland Cemetery.
