KROTTS, H.D. “Dan”, Jr., D.D.S., age 84 of Dayton, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Life Care Hospitals of Dayton. Dan was born on July 23, 1929 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Harland D. and Mildred Harp Krotts, Sr. He was preceded in death by his sister Beverly Snell. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Barbara A. Herman Krotts; children, Robert (Debbie) Krotts of Kettering, Robin (Mike) Durnbaugh of Ft. Wayne, and David (Maura) Krotts of Cary, NC; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Dan was a graduate of Fairview High School, attended the University of Dayton in Pre Med and received his D.D.S. from The Ohio State University. Dan also served in the U.S. Marine Corp, was a jazz musician, loved animals, and practiced dentistry in the Dayton area for 50 years. Private service at the convenience of the family.
