Swift, Hallock “Hal” Freeman, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born in New York City, NY on November 18, 1935. Hal graduated from Cornell University in 1957. He worked as a physicist at NRL, UDRI, IAP Research, founded PAI and retired in 2001. Hal is survived by his wife of 66 years, Carol; sons, Steve (Alisa) and Dan (Kim); daughter in law, Connie; eight grandchildren, Mike, Casey, Kelly, Dylan, Alex, Brooks, Taylor, and Becca; and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Eric in 2022. Hal received many awards from international groups. After retirement, he enjoyed travel with sons and family. He rode with several bike groups. He was enrolled in UDLL and took many classes. Visitation will be Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 10:30 to 11:30 am with a Celebration of Life at 11:30 am at Tobias Funeral Home – Far Hills Chapel, 5471 Far Hills Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45429.
