Elinora J Smith

Elinora J. Smith, formerly of Orchard Park, NY, passed away on March 14, 2024 in Dayton, OH, while receiving care from Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton. She was born at home in Attica, NY, on September 15, 1927, to Sylvester and Dorothy(Redding)Graff. She was a proud graduate of Angola High School, NY, class of 1945. After graduating she worked for several businesses including the New York Telephone Company, which she retired from in 1984. In 1947 she married Elmer, her beloved husband of 76 years. Following retirement she lived in Bradenton, FL, Trussville, AL, and finally in Beavercreek, OH with her daughter and son-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Marc D. Smith. She was survived by her husband, her daughter Karen(Smith)Barger, her grandson Brian Eastman, her sister Regina(Graff)Geiger, and a number of nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Elinora will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Tobias Funeral Home, 3970 Dayton Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio. A service will occur Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 7:00 PM, 3970 Dayton Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio. A Funeral Mass will occur Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St Brigid Catholic Church, 312 Fairground Rd, Xenia, Ohio.

Elinora will be laid to rest in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, Trussville, Alabama.
