My grandmother showed me how to live a life full of happiness!  She had the most class of anyone I have ever known and it is something you inherit and definitely not something you can buy. If you were honored to enter her home you would have the unsurpassed experience of the best hostess you have ever encountered.  Your amazing experience was her priority. I will always put my best foot forward to make my grandmother proud-as she eloquently put "good better best, never let it rest, till your good is better, and your better is best!" I love you with all of my heart... Your granddaughter Sarah.

Aunt Dottie was a beautiful, elegant, and talented lady who always had a smile and contagious laugh. I remember the wonderful family gatherings as cousins at Mamie and Pop's. Dottie was always an integral part of the love, laughter and music we shared as a family. Love you dear cousins.

There was a girl, a very special girl that learned to sing, learned to dance, learned to recite from her heart and that special girl, that very very special girl blossomed into a beautiful, intelligent, talented woman who was our mother.  All of us are very very fortunate that we were brought up by such a intelligent, talented mother who taught us not only how to laugh, sing, dance and the beauty of life, but most important of all taught us the true meaning of that great song: "The greatest thing you'll ever learn, is to love and be loved in return!"

Gone From My Sight (by Henry Van Dyke)

I am standing upon the seashore. A ship, at my side, spreads her white sails to the moving breeze and starts
for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength.

I stand and watch her until, at length, she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.

Then, someone at my side says, "There, she is gone."

Gone where?

Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast, hull and spar as she was when she left my side, And she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port.

Her diminished size is in me -- not in her.

And, just at the moment when someone says, "There, she is gone,"
there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices
ready to take up the glad shout, "Here she comes!"

And that is dying...


We are sure Michael was among those taking up that glad shout, and that you are enjoying pure white sands and a bright sun as brilliant as the warmth you brought to us all.  We love you grandma Dottie.

Dottie Miller Was A Wonderful Woman!Never Lost her Very Outgoing Sense Of Humor Right To the End,She Mentored Me as A Young man And Was Always Thankful For The Life Lessons She Taught Me.Dottie will Be Missed More Than Words Can Describe By The Family And By Me As Well...Used To Love To Laugh With Her As Much As Possible.Loved Her So Much!!
