Dennis Hays

Hays, Dennis G., age 70, of Oakwood, OH, went to be with the Lord Sunday, December 13, 2015 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents David and Glenna. He is survived by his wife of 46 ½ years, Vicki and his daughter and son-in-law Denise and Mitchell Gehle of Centerville, OH. Dennis was a member of First Grace Brethren Church. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in Vietnam, a member of American Legion Post # 888, a 1963 graduate of Belmont High School, and a graduate of Urbana College. He worked at NCR, Hosea International and Circle International as a Custom House broker for forty years. He was a classic car enthusiast, especially his 1954 Ford and his 1962 Chevy SS convertible. He also founded the Miami Valley Late Great Chevy Club. Dennis was loved by many and will be sadly missed, along with his longtime Labrador companion, Karolina, “Grampy’s Baby.” Visitation will be held Friday, December 18th, from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the Tobias Funeral Home, 648 Watervliet Ave, Dayton, OH 45420. Funeral Service Saturday 11 am at First Grace Brethren Church, 2426 Stonequarry Road, Dayton, OH 45414, officiated by Pastor Bruce Jackson, with additional visitation at the church from 10-11am.
