Stevens, David L., age 64 of St. Marys, OH passed away June 13, 2012 peacefully with his family by his side following a short illness. Originally from Dayton, he moved to St. Marys in 1997. Survived by his wife Melanie of 28 years; parents Glendon and Mary Stevens of Dayton; daughters Jammie (Mike) Troxell of Springboro, Tara Stevens of Waxhaw, NC, Elizabeth (Paul) Kennell of London; grandsons Lawrence Lloyd III, Collin, Lincoln and Hayden Troxell, Ben, Baylor and Brecken Kennell; brothers Glenn (Robin) Stevens of Bellbrook, Chuck (Teri) Stevens of Centerville; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. He was in the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam, retired from AT&T in Dayton and worked for NuWave Technologies in Coldwater, OH for 15 years. He was a member of the American Legion in Englewood, OH for 41 years, the South Shore Sportsman’s Club in St. Marys, and loyal order of the Moose#1473 in Celina. He loved fishing and taught his grandsons how to Crappie fish. He loved bowling, boating, and his dogs. Visitation Thursday June 21, 2012 at Tobias Funeral Home, Belmont Chapel, 648 Watervliet Ave, Dayton, OH from 4 - 6:30pm with a memorial service to follow at 6:30pm. For all of his St. Marys friends, coworkers, and family there will be a celebration of his life at the South Shore Sportsman’s Club, 5380 Club Island Rd., Celina from 6-9pm, Saturday, June 23, 2012.
