MANNON, Charles E Sr. age 78 passed peacefully on Feb. 26, 2016 with his family by his side. He was born in Huntington, WV on March 6, 1937 to the late Jesse & Juanita (Older) Mannon. Chuck moved to Dayton in 1952 and attended Wilbur Wright HS. He was a supervisor at Ford and retired in 1999 after 26 yrs. of service. Left behind to cherish Chuck’s memory: his beloved wife of 58 years Marilyn (Kolker) Mannon; children Ed Mannon, Anita (Rick) Wilson, Mary (Mike) Ritchie, Jane (Bob Jr.) Mays, Chuck Mannon Jr. and Kevin Mannon; grandchildren: Mike Caldwell, Michelle Quesnell, Emily (Jason) Hall, Lindsey (Doug) Davis, Kimmy Mannon and Bobby Mays III; sister Sally (Mannon) Kruchkow of NC. He is also survived by 18 great grandchildren, numerous family members and friends. Chuck was an Eagle Scout, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Post 168, enjoyed flying, had his private pilot’s license and enjoyed many other interests and hobbies. A private service was held.
