Betty L. Butler

Betty Butler, age 89 passed away peacefully Friday March 8, 2024 surrounded by her family. Preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Jim Butler, grandson Adam, brothers Bill and Vic. She was born February 16, 1935 in Dayton, Ohio to Thursa and Walter McCrary. She is survived by her children Sharon (Danny), Karen (Greg), Mike (Yvonne), Kenny (Janet), grandchildren Jason (Angi), Anthony, Lisa (Dennis), Ben (Christine), Zach (Emily), Daniel (Asha), Nick (Kymber), Alena (James), Kainoa, and great grandchildren Sabrina, John, Cameron, Mackenzie,Oliver, Brooks, Ella, Jacob,and James.

Betty was a graduate of Patterson Co-Op and began her work at Goodyear where she met Jim. Once the kids were older, she began working at Dr. T.H. Henderson’s office for 27 years and was loved by all the patients. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed playing golf, fishing, cooking for her family, and traveling. Betty was a resident of St. Leonard since 2011 and was always known to greet everyone with a smile. The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful caring staff in SDR Memory Care.

A Gathering of Family and Friends for Betty will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Leonard Chapel, 8100 Clyo Road, Centerville, Ohio 45458. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 11:00 AM, 8100 Clyo Road, Centerville, Ohio 45458. A final resting place will occur at Calvary Cemetery, 1625 Calvary Drive, Dayton, Ohio 45409.
