Anna Elizabeth "Betty" Speyrer

Speyrer, Anna Elizabeth "Betty" (Nee Mitch), age 80, of Kettering, OH and formerly of Riverside, OH passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2012. Betty was born on January 10, 1932 in Missoula, MT to Ernest and Anna (nee Kering) Mitch, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Arnold F. Mitch, of Salinas, CA and Joseph E. and wife, Mary S. Mitch, of Ft. Mill, SC and two sisters-in-law, Sarah Speyrer Champagne, of Leonville, LA and Audrey Millang Mitch, of Ballwin, MO. Betty is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, James H. Speyrer, of Kettering, OH; two sons, James F. and wife, Dorothy Speyrer, of Kettering, OH, Christopher Speyrer, of Mason City, IL; two daughters, Anna L. and husband, Kevin L. Beechey, of York, PA, Joan M. and husband, Stoma Speyrer, of Murfreesboro, TN; a sister, Sister Dolores M. Mitch, of the Maryknoll Sisters, Maryknoll, NY; a brother, Ernest A. Mitch, of Ballwin, MO; grandchildren, Julia, Matthew and Samuel Speyrer, Michael, Morgan and Ellen Beechey, Nicole ,Luke, Gabriel and Sarah Speyrer and a host of nieces and nephews. Betty was a graduate of The College St.Catherine in St. Paul, MN with a Bachelor's Degree in Library Science and also holds a Master's Degree in Library Science from Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA. She was a longtime and active member of St. Helen Catholic Church, The St. Helen Legion of Mary and the St. Helen Book Club. Prayers will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 30, 2012, from the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. at St.Helen Catholic Church with Father David Brinkmoeller, celebrant. Interment will be in Dayton National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, July 29, 2012. Memorial contributions may be made to either The St. Helen Legion of Mary or The Hospice of Dayton (envelopes will be available at the funeral home).
