ZOLLARS, Aaron Lyn, 61, of Bellbrook, OH, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 31, 2022. Aaron was born on January 7, 1961, in Mt. Vernon, Ohio to Leland and Sue Zollars and grew up in Fredericktown, OH. He attended Fredericktown High School where he was an outstanding athlete and met his high school sweetheart and wife, Brenda, of 39 years. He went on to play basketball and run track at The College of Wooster. Upon graduation, he began a 39 year career as a State Farm agent and manager.
Aaron was a dedicated husband, father and paw-paw. He never missed an opportunity to be with his family and loved nothing more than having all of his kids and grandkids together. Aaron liked to golf, travel, hunt and was always counting down the days until his next fishing trip in Canada. He was an avid learner and a go-to person for everyone.
Aaron served in various leadership roles at Parkview Church of the Nazarene where he taught Sunday School and served on the Church Board. He went on multiple mission trips to Dominica, building churches and sharing Jesus. He always gave of his time and energy to those around him. He was a friend to all, a natural leader, and a mentor. He loved his family deeply and will be greatly missed.
He was proceeded in death by his father, Leland Zollars, and survived by his mother Sue Zollars (Grassbaugh). He is survived by his wife Brenda Zollars (Talbott), his three children, Stephanie (Travis) Brown, Amy (Taylor) Walker, Jay (Faith) Zollars. Aaron was “Paw-Paw” to Alexis (9), Easton (7) and Mason (4) Brown, Molly (2) and Reese (6 months) Walker, and Clara (3 months) Zollars. Additionally, he is survived by his brothers Brian (Rae Jean) and Wayne (Kim) Zollars, and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday April 7, 2022, from 4:00-7:00 pm at Parkview Church of the Nazarene, 4701 Far Hills Ave, Dayton, OH. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022, at 10:00am at Parkview Church of the Nazarene, with burial to follow at Bellbrook Cemetery.Memorial Contributions may be made to Target Dayton Ministries at www.targetdayton.com.
