Ida Neverson Robertson

Ida Mae Young was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on November 3, 1932, through the union of John and Flora Young. Ida was the the third eldest of seven children and was raised by her great-grandmother Fannie Washington. Preceding the death of Fannie Washington, Ida lived with her paternal aunt, Ida King in Oakland, California. At a young age, Ida accepted Christ into her life. Ida graduated from Oakland High School. Upon graduating high school Ida became employed as a file clerk at Fort Mason.

In 1952, Ida married Winfred Simpson. In that same year Winfred, Ida, and their first-born Erich moved to Washington, DC. Winfred and Ida's union conceived two additional children, Linda and Tracy. Winfred and Ida both decided to move their growing family to Capitol Heights, Maryland. Through mutual agreement, Winfred and Ida decided to separate, while they continued to care for their children's wellbeing. Ida later re-married, marrying Jack Neverson. From that union, Sean was conceived. After the passing of Jack Neverson, Ida found love again and married Herman Robertson. In 1983, Ida retired from the federal government.

After retirement, Ida worked In the real estate business. Ida's hobbies were sewing and reading the Bible. Ida enjoyed spending with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. In her final moments, Ida was surrounded by the love of her family and friends. Ida is predeceased in death by her late husband Herman Robertson and son, Erich Simpson.

Ida leaves behind her memories to be cherished by her children, Linda Judkins, Tracy Simpson, and Sean Neverson, 8 grandchildren , Erich, Donovan, Erica, Bruce, Simone, Michael, Sunee, 9 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Ida also leaves behind a sister, a brother, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
