Dale Marvin Bly

Passed away July 31, 2016 in Grand Coulee, WA at 90 years old. Dale was born on March 16, l926 in Spokane, WA at his Grandma Myers' house. He was the son of Eber and Mary Bly. Dale graduated from Davenport High School in 1944, went into the Navy ROTC in July 1944 through April 1946. He attended Gonzaga University and played varsity basketball for the Zags in 1944-45. Dale attended WSC in 1946 and graduated in February 1948. Dale was in the Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity. He graduated with a degree in Agriculture. Dale married Helen J. Dunlap Sept. 9, 1947. They had 5 children- Jody, Becky, Nancy, Donald and Terry.

Dale married Darlyne Tower on May 9, 1964. They had one son Dale Wesley and 3 step-children, Varlyne, Lance and Lindsey. Dale married Shirley Largent February 22, 1998 and gained 6 step-children- JoAnne, Barbara, Penny, Ronald, Buddy and Lee. Dale lived and farmed in Harrington, WA from 1948 to June 1966. He moved July 1, 1966 to Tomahawk, Alberta, Canada and Managed Cormie Ranch until 1969 .He moved to Dillon, Montana and managed Beaverhead Ranch. He moved back to Harrington and farmed until 1980. He moved back to Canada and managed Cormie Ranch 1980 to 1983. He moved to Arizona in 1983 working in the Financial Consulting business. Dale belonged to Lion's Club, Masons and the Cattleman Association of WA State... His hobbies included investing, reading, sports and family. He has 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents Eber and Mary Bly, brother Wesley Bly, sister-in-law Verla Bly and stepdaughter Varlyne Reiter.

Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held on Friday August 12, 2016 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Strate Funeral Home in Davenport with Monty Fields, officiating.
