Wilma LaGrone was called home on February 15, 2023, in Davenport, Iowa.

Her funeral services will be 12:00 pm Saturday, February 25, 2023 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, with burial to follow at Davenport Memorial Park. Condolences may be shared at www.rungemortuary.com.

Wilma was born on January 14, 1956, in Columbus, Mississippi to Ophelia and Millard LaGrone Sr. Everyone that met her loved her and there was nothing she wouldn’t do for anyone. Aside from her great love for her family and friends, Wilma’s passions included fishing, watching football, playing cards, and going out to eat.

She leaves to cherish her memories her beloved son Michael LaGrone Sr.; daughter in law Justine; grandchildren, Jovonta, Malique, Akia, Michael Jr., and Milaniyah; sisters, Helen (Fred) Thomas, Mary (Kevin) Gardner, Shirley Carter; brother, Millard LaGrone Jr.; stepmother Edna Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Her family is comforted by knowing that she is now reunited with her firstborn son, Anthony; her parents Ophelia and Millard LaGrone Sr.; her sisters, Elizabeth Tyson and Juanita LaGrone; her brothers, Sterling Edward Buckingham and Roosevelt Smith Sr.
