William C West

William “Bill” West, 67, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away at his home on Friday, December 30, 2022. Per his request, cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials in Bill’s name may be made to the family.

Bill was born on November 2, 1955 to Edward and Maxine West in Davenport, Iowa. Following high school, he went to work as a machinist for various companies in the Quad Cities, lastly being Eagle Engineering. He was united in marriage to Sally Spring in 1990. Bill was a real jokester and loved to make everyone laugh. He loved working on cars when his health allowed. He also enjoyed working on RC cars. Bill enjoyed spending his free time watching Western and cowboy movies. Family was very important to Bill, but his real joy was watching his grandchildren grow.

Those left to honor Bill’s memory are his wife, Sally; two daughters Jessie (Christopher) James and Jamie West; four grandchildren Addie, Lana, Anderson, and Logan West; and his siblings Wayne, Warren, Charlotte, and Tom.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Martha Swan, siblings: Roger and Paul, and his parents.
