William C. Overstreet

A celebration of life will be held at 11AM, Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Temple Baptist Church, 3526 North Brady, Street. Per his wishes cremation rites have been and accorded. William was born on November 29, 1941 in Mississippi. He was united in marriage to Linda on July 31, 1981.

William was a hard worker and enjoyed spending his free time fishing. He also had a green thumb and could often be found in his garden. William loved his music and was gifted on the electric guitar and was known to be a master cook of soul food.

Those left to honor his memory include, wife Linda, children, Jerry (Katherine) Overstreet, Yvette (Jimmy) Hollingshed, and Melissa (Andrew Arrington) Overstreet; 16 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sister Bobbie Cole; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers including Ethel Lee Moore, one sister, daughter Mary Overstreet and grandson Damion Ruble.
