Tammy Ruth Harris-Dupre

Tammy Ruth Harris-Dupre, 60, of Davenport, formerly of Hattiesburg, Mississippi passed away Thursday, September 19, 2019 at the Kahl Home after a courageous battle with cancer. Per her request, cremation rites will be accorded. A Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date.

Tammy was born February 11, 1959 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, the daughter of Cecil Leo and Helen Ruth (Graham) Harris. She was united in marriage to Victor Dupre on February 25, 1994 in Franklin, TN. For many years, she served as a professional wedding and event planner in the New Orleans area.

Tammy was an active member of the communities she lived in. She served on many boards and in organizations dear to her heart. She was an avid animal rights activist who enjoyed reading and physical fitness; especially swimming. Her greatest passion was traveling with her husband and meeting new people. She found beauty in everything that surrounded her and just loved life. Tammy also had a deep and profound faith that guided her in everything she did.

She will be deeply missed by her husband, Vic, of Davenport and numerous cousins in Mississippi. In addition to her parents, Tammy was preceded in death by her beloved fur baby, Roux and a brother, Cecil.
