Sherri Lynn (Yoke) “Sly” Kelley, 55, of Davenport, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2024 in Bettendorf. Services will be Friday, July 5, 2024 at her niece, Faith’s home located at 5 Riverview Place in Davenport at 4pm. Cremation rites will be accorded.
Sly was born in Iowa City on June 18, 1969. She was the daughter of John Wayne and Linda (Scheer) Yoke. As a teenager, Sly participated in track and received numerous awards. She even was interviewed by Paula Sands. She got to fly in the Red Baron Plane for her achievements. She had previously worked as a CNA.
Sly enjoyed fishing, spending time with her children and grandchildren, playing games, watching movies, bonfires, barbecues, getting tattoos, and dancing, especially doing the “Worm” for people.
Those left to honor her memory include: her first husband, Keith Kelley, Sr., children: Jesecca Saldana, Ashley (fiancée, Chris Howard-Mayfield) Yoke, Faith (fiancé, Levi Cobb) Kelley, Keith Kelley Jr., and Brady Jo Kelley, all of Davenport; boyfriend Tremayne “Maynard” Smith, Davenport, 12 grandchildren, sister, Janette (Yoke) Wooten, Bettendorf, nieces: Christine Myrick, Jade Bartosch and special niece, Autumn Knight, nephew, Jesse Bartosch, cousins: Jassen and Jeff Yoke, aunts, Jenny Yoke and Zora Yoke Lopez uncle, Larry Yoke and her beloved dog, “Puppy.”
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandmothers, Josephine Nath and Wanda Yoke, uncles, Eldon and Ronnie Yoke, aunt, Sandy Brausch and cousins, Sonya and Leanne Yoke.
