He married Joyce (Tucker) Utley on July 9, 1993. He enjoyed Rock and Roll music and working on cars. He worked as an over the road truck driver, and Union painter.Survivors include his wife, Joyce of Davenport, son; Mark Utley of Davenport, daughter; Melissa Fuller of Weatherford, TX, step-son; Brian Crisp of Davenport, 1 grandchild, 2 great-grandchildren, sisters; Rose Moyer of Matherville, IL, Roxann (John) LaBarge of Davenport, and a brother; Richard (Jackie) Utley of Coal Valley, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Robert and granddaughter, Adonis Fuller.
