Roma Jane Grell

Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 19th, 2022 at 10 am at The Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9 am until the service. Her final resting place will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family for an educational fund for her grandchildren.

She was born in Scott County, Iowa on December 22, 1933. She was the daughter of Walter and Viola (Steinbeck) Husen. She married Gerald O. Grell on September 14, 1957 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Davenport. He preceded her in death on September 11, 2018.

Roma worked at Peterson Harned Von Maur in the office and had also worked at the Chevrolet Garage in Dixon, IA. She was a member of Christ Family Church, Women of the Moose, Plus 60 Club and AARP. She dearly loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She and her husband enjoyed bowling and playing cards as well.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons Tim (Nicole) Grell, Lawrenceburg, IN, Todd (Patti), Calamus, IA, grandchildren: Ashley (Aaron) Edmark, Travis Grell and Nathan Grell; great grandchildren: Adalyn, Kaiden, Keaton, Erick and Asher along with numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Roma was preceded in death by twin children, Robin and Randy, sisters, Marleta Betts and Helen Hansen, and her brothers, Delmar and Roy.
