Robin Lynn (Kinzer) Linville

Her unexpected departure has left us in deep sorrow and profound grief, but we find solace in cherishing the memories we shared with her during her 68 years of life.

A visitation service to honor Robin will be held at Runge Mortuary on Friday, July 14 from 2-5pm.

Immediately following the visitation, will be a Celebration of Life held at Knights of Columbus in Davenport, Iowa beginning at 5pm. Both events will be informal and a time to share love, laughter & memories of Robin.

Born on July 7, 1955, in Iowa City, Iowa, Robin was a beacon of love, strength, and compassion to all who knew her. She touched the lives of many, not only as a cherished daughter, sister, wife, and mother but also as a dear friend and confidante.

Daughter of Ronald Jackson “Buddy” Kinzer and Betty Lou Weaver, Robin spent most of her life as a resident of Davenport, Iowa, and had a life filled to the brim with love and affection. She was a graduate of Davenport Central High School in 1973. As the oldest of four children, Robin took her role as eldest very seriously, always looking after and caring for her three younger brothers, Craig Kinzer, Brinson (Donna) Kinzer and Shawn (Gina) Kinzer.

From her younger years as a car hop at Dog’n’Suds to her 27+ years working for the City of Davenport as the Administrative Assistant to the City Council – Robin was never afraid of hard work in any capacity.

Robin married the love of her life, Mark William Linville on April 10, 1982. They shared a life of love, laughter, music, and an appreciation of the great outdoors. You could often find Mark & Robin spending time together working in their sprawling garden, fishing for Blue Gills in Orr, Minnesota or listening to music and laughing with friends. Their love was one for the record books. Robin was preceded in death by her loving husband, Mark.

Family was the center of Robin’s world, and she showered her loved ones with unwavering devotion and care. She will forever be remembered as a nurturing and loving mother to Heath Hartog, Luke (Abbi) Linville, and Whitney Linville, who were her pride & joy. And she had an especially close bond with Krista Hartog, often referred to as her other daughter. Her unconditional love will continue to shape their lives.

It was her four grandkids, who affectionally knew her as Nana, that gave her heart its true shine. Jackson Hartog, Eli & Reese Linville, and Michael Foster filled her life with more joy than she could ever truly express. To see her eyes light up while proudly sharing stories of each of them, was to see genuine joy and happiness within a smile.

In addition to being a dedicated family woman, Robin had a heart full of kindness that extended to the community around her. Her charitable acts and volunteer work touched the lives of countless individuals, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts. She volunteered her time at every stage of life, including coaching her children’s youth baseball teams, and later in life working diligently with Stroke Advocacy groups, and everything in between – Robin had so much love and support to give to anyone and everyone.

During this time of mourning, we find strength in the memories we hold dear. Robin will forever remain etched in our hearts and minds as a symbol of love and resilience. Though she may no longer be physically present, her spirit and legacy will live on through the lives she touched.

Robin’s family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to everyone who has reached out in this trying time. The immense amount of love they have felt has been truly unprecedented. Robin was greatly loved by so many, and it is evident more than ever during this time. Her special friends – near and far – meant the world to her.
