Reynold O. Runge

Funeral services will be 2:00pm Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at the Runge Mortuary Davenport, IA. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service on Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the Durant Fire Department or VA Resource Center Davenport. Condolences may be shared at www.rungemortuary.com.

Reynold was born August 2, 1933 in Rural Durant, IA to Ottie & Amelia (Wulf) Runge. He was united in marriage to his wife of 51 years Kathy Sovanski on October 28, 1972 in Moline, IL. Reynold was a lifelong farmer who loved farming and had a down to earth hard working personality. One of his favorite activities was date night with his wife. They would go out to dinner, dancing or see a movie.

Survivors include son Ron Runge, Wilton, IA; daughter Mary (Joseph) Henzen, Davenport; grandchildren Hunter Runge, Zachary Henzen & Kayla Henzen; great grandchild Ainsley Henzen; and Brother-in-law Albert (Maggie) Sovanski, Coal Valley, IL.

Reynold was preceded in death by his parents, a son John, and 2 sisters.
