Naomi Jane Reeves

Naomi “GG” Jane (Lehrkamp) Reeves, 95, of Moline, IL was surrounded by her daughters when she passed away at her residence on December 18, 2024. Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Naomi was born on December 3, 1929 in Carroll, IA to parents Anna (Steinenger) and Frank Lehrkamp. After graduating from high school, she joined Marvin Reeves in married union on February 21, 1950. Together, they started their own family and Naomi took on the work of raising five children.

Throughout her life, Naomi enjoyed watching and playing sports. She bowled on a league with Marvin and she especially enjoyed rooting on her children and grandchildren at their sporting events. Naomi was an avid Chiefs and Hawkeyes fan. When sports weren’t on, she loved to read a good old western book or work on a puzzle.

Naomi felt strongly about her faith. She attended Our Lady of Victory for much of her life and in her later years, she attended Christ the King.

Those left to remember Naomi’s spunky personality include her children; Theresa (William) Milburn of Moline, IL, Barbara (Eddie) Myers of Granbury, TX, Jeffrey (Susana) Reeves of Travelers Rest, SC, Dennis (Cathy) Reeves of Davenport, IA; son-in-law, Douglas Schroeder; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren, and 1 sister, Mary Louise Brockman.

Naomi was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin; 1 beloved daughter, Cynthia Schroeder; 2 sisters, and 4 brothers.
